Overall Personality: Rowena has always been a very proud and upbeat woman. Anytime someone asked a question she was able to answer it. She is very studious and loves to learn. She is highly independant and doesn’t need anyone else to tell her what to do. She is very crafty and artistic something she had inherited from her father. It’s one of the few things she got from him. She is passionate and full of life, something that she had inherited from her mother, albeit she didn’t get to know the woman well. She is high strung and often appears haughty though she loves her secluded locations. She is advenurous. She is a free spirit and often will do anything on a whim if necessary.
She is not one to stay in one place for very long (albeit she has had to curb this when she has been offered a very prominent position with her friends to become a teacher for the school the group was forming.) She is an avid reader and often can get through a good but long book in about an hour tops. She is also very strong willed and stubborn which often can lead to conflicts with others. She is friendly and some may see her as being a stuck up witch because she can intimidate others with her knowledge. She has always been a hands on sort of person. Although she doesn't mind learning from other tactics that one might persuade her to use.

Overall History: Rowena Grace Ravenclaw was born to two individuals that ought not to have ben together in the first place. Her mother had been married at the time of her conception. Her father had been in love with her mother for years beforehand. It wasn't like her mother had not loved him back because she did. However, with the rules and everything she wasn't permitted to show it given she was chosen to marry the mans he was married to because of his upstanding nature and "glory". It wasn't out of love, it was necessity. When she was born, her mother thought it best to have her live with her father once she was old enough to be away from her.
The man she was married to did not want children and often proclaimed that all the young girl was was an abomination. Because to him, if the child was not a boy, there was no point in their existance. So the young girl was living alone with her father who never married because his heart had belonged to her mother. There were only a few instances where she was allowed to visit with her mother. As her mother could only come when her husband was out of town.
Because she was a child with the magical ability, her father taught her everything he could from his own firsthand knowledge. Her father taught her all about loyalty and designs. He was the strongest person in her life. The older she became the more she was to become independant. Her mother was found dead in the parlor of the home she had shared with her husband after a visit with her daughter. She was only thirteen, the man she had married had killed her then killed himself.
Having lost her mother, she craved the same kind of connection with another older figure. A woman that lived down the road from her, became that figure. She was taught many things from the woman. All about compassion and strength, as well as the intelligence that only comes from the desire to learn and to never give up. After her mother's death her father became recluse, rarely leaving their home as he couldn't be comforted and could hardly stand to look at her.
The gift of Charms had been the one thing that her mother had been able to pass down. She'd had spells and potions that had allowed her to work her magic and to help those who could not help themselves. As she grew older she fell in love with a man that was supposed to be her final. He was the polar opposite and made her smile and laugh. In a way that no one else could. She believed it so much that he had persuaded her to leave home and to travel with him. So she said goodbye to her father at seventeeen and stayed by his side until she was twenty seven. But one thing that seemed to be inevitable was loss. As she had found him with another. He had lied, told her that this woman meant nothing to him. She wanted more than anything to believe him but she couldn't. It was over. She left him in a rat infested home on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland. After her heartbreak she travelled for a while, working in various places all over the world. She soon arrived in London. She began to work in a local pub, that was able to allow muggles inside. It wasn't hard to keep a secret of what she was from them.
Around that time she was introduced to a stranger, when he came into the pub, one night. She had noticed he had come in a couple times but he'd never said a word. Until one night it was revealed that he was there, as someone who had come searching for those who were the smartest of the age as he put it. They spoke for some time and he persuaded her that because of her smarts that she ought not to waist it. And to use her love of learning to inspire others to want to learn. So she left her beloved home behind and travelled with him to the outskirts of London, far away from muggle eyes. It was here where she met Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. These three would be the witch and wizards she would be working alongside. Soon the four of them would become close. Close enough where they would start to design the grounds for the school they were to open. They each were given their own wing of the castle. She and Godric were in the towers while Salazar and Helga were in the dungeons.
Construction on the school had not taken too long given they each had their own unique skill set. The one thing she was proud of was the everchanging staircase that she had designed. Now with all the teachers in place, the owls had been sent she hopes to give her students in Charms the best she can offer them. For them to never give up and work hard.
